Exciting Improvements to Service 6/6A in Ellesmere Port

Stagecoach, in partnership with Cheshire West & Chester Council and Redrow Homes, is thrilled to introduce significant improvements to the 6/6A bus service in Ellesmere Port from Monday 20th January. This new service will replace the existing E7 route and include the addition of three brand-new buses, offering enhanced connectivity and convenience.

Key Features of the New 6/6A Service:

Improved Frequency:

• Buses run every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday (approx. 7am–7pm).

Extended Route Coverage:

• Introduces the first bus service to the expanding Ledsham Garden Village.

• Replaces the existing E7 route, continuing beyond Ellesmere Port town centre to Rivacre.
• Revives service to A41 and Kendal Drive, reconnecting these areas after years without a bus route.

Convenient Through-Links:

• Direct connections from residential areas to Ellesmere Port town centre, the rail station, and employment zones around Merseyton Road without bus transfers.

Stops Along the Route: Covers key locations such as:

• Ledsham Garden Village
• Wetherby Way / Gleneagles Road (6)
• Glenwood Road / Parklands (6A)
• Great Sutton, A41, Summertrees Road, Hope Farm Road, Overpool Road, Whitby Cottage Hospital, Morrisons, and the Ellesmere Port Bus Hub.
