Stagecoach Merseyside, Cheshire and South Lancashire (MCSL), in partnership with Age UK, is raising awareness of bus safety this March.
Come along to one of our Safety Awareness Days. Our bus will be at:
- Flag Market, Preston - 26 March
- Kirkby town centre, near Edward’s Elephant - 28 March
Hop on board and say hello! Our friendly team will be on hand to provide information about travelling by bus, concessionary bus passes, and ready to answer questions about on bus safety, alongside representatives from Age UK, and in Kirkby TravelSafe will be joining us too.
“We are delighted to work in partnership with Age UK and TravelSafe to promote bus safety. Together we can make the bus a safer place for everyone.” Matt Davies, Managing Director

Useful safety tips for Stagecoach customers:
- Watch your step: be careful when getting on or off the bus.
- Wait until the bus stops completely before standing up.
- Hold on when the bus is moving.
- Mind the gap: be careful of the space between the bus and the pavement. Take small steps and watch out to avoid tripping.
- Be careful in bad weather: on rainy or snowy days, be extra careful. Hold onto the rails, take small steps, and be extra cautious to avoid slipping.
- Ask for help: if you need help, speak to the driver. We’re here to make sure you stay safe during your journey.
