Summer Family

Summer is all about making memories on family days out, and what better option than to start your adventure by bus for an affordable way to travel that won’t break the bank.

We have some ideas to fill those summer days that will entertain the whole family and create lasting memories, and event better they are free to visit.

  • Hop on the bus to take a stroll through Torquay’s Cary Gardens, where there is an array of flowers to capture your attention during your lovely walk and even a park area for the kids. Make sure you pack a picnic and enjoy a budget friendly lunch in the outdoors.  This is certainly a route to enjoy with the whole family and the number 12 will take you there for an affordable day out.

  • A day out at the swings is a winner every time whatever age you are. Take a picnic and a ball and go to the dinosaur playpark on Exmouth Seafront, with the RNLI station to explore nearby and plenty of space to play route 57 from Exeter will take you there.

  • Grab your swimming stuff for a paddle and visit Decoy Country Park in Newton Abbot for lakeside walks, big play park, and a water play area. Stagecoach route 12 and 75 will take you there. The seasonal ice cream kiosk serves up a tasty, sweet treats to reward all of that splashing about and playing. Hop back on the bus and be home for tea – if you have room.
