Ilfracombe

The South West Coast Path is the UK’s longest national walking trail, extending across 600 miles of beautiful coastline.  There are a range of walks, from relaxing seaside strolls to more challenging hikes. Whatever you’re after, you’ll be treated to some breath-taking views along the way!

The South West Coast Path Association charity have celebrated the South West Coast Path for over 50 years, making it one of the world’s most loved trails. The charity provides all the information you’ll need to enjoy the Path, from planning ahead to wellbeing and how to enjoy the walks safely.

The great news is our local bus network covers many of the points featured in the path, so no need to double back and fetch the car, just walk between two bus points, or sections of the path covered by bus and train.

The Salt Path

The Salt Path by Raynor Winn is a moving true story of strength and hope. The book, now a major film, features couple Raynor and Moth, who having lost everything, walk the South West Coast Path. We follow their journey across the path and see how the dramatic backdrops of rugged cliffs and stunning bays help to heal them.
