A fleet of six brand new mini buses have been introduced across the Andover town bus network, representing an investment of over £1m.
On Wednesday 17th July, we unveiled one of the 6 new buses to the public, by showcasing it outside the Town Hall in the High Street.
The new low-emission buses will serve communities across Andover, including King Arthur’s Way, River Way, East Anton, Picket Twenty and Charlton.
The buses feature an all-new bright interior design, complete with at the seat USB charging ports, plus audio and visual next-stop announcements, making bus services as accessible as possible for all of its passengers. The new buses feature the very latest Euro VI engines which will also help cut emissions in the area.
Marc Reddy, Managing Director for Stagecoach South, said: “We are delighted to be launching these new low emission vehicles which represent a significant investment in our services for the local Andover community.”
“We recognise the importance of local bus services across Andover and the fleet of new buses confirms our commitment to improving bus travel in the region."
