Additional information for residents an neighbours in the Granville Road area
We will be replacing defective rails on the city bound section of track where it crosses over Granville Road. This work requires the use of saw cutters, concrete breakers and other equipment and will be noisy at times. As this work is in the road, traffic management is needed, which requires us to work during quieter times when trams and other road users are at a reduced level.
Preparation works will commence Monday 28 March until Friday 1 April between 23:30 and 05:00 nightly. During this time the works will include concrete breaking and concrete cutting. Local road closures and diversions will be in place during this time.
Unfortunately, the nature of these works will generate noise. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience and disturbance that these essential works may cause you and we will endeavour to reduce the noise as much as possible.
Please liaise with the Site Supervisor if you have any concerns whilst the works are taking place. Alternatively, you can contact VolkerRail, the contractor carrying out the works on our behalf, directly via their 24hr Control Centre on 01302 791187 (during the works).
