Due to Yorkshire Water carrying out emergency works in Hillsborough on Sunday 9 October, Yellow and Blue route trams will be unable to operate as normal and instead will terminate at Shalesmoor all day.
This means there will be no tram service between Shalesmoor, Middlewood and Malin Bridge on this date and there will be no dedicated tram replacement bus services, however valid tram tickets will be accepted on local bus services between these stops.
Local bus services include;
- 7 and 8 between City, Hillsborough Park and Penistone Road close to Leppings Lane
- 81/82 between City, Hillsborough and Malin Bridge
- 52a between City and Hillsborough
- 52 between City and Hillsborough (Limited service to/from Hillsborough)
- 57 between City, Hillsborough and Middlewood
- 86 between City, Hillsborough Park and Penistone Road close to Leppings Lane
The works and associated road closures are likely to affect local bus services and details of any changes to local buses can be found at travelsouthyorkshire.com
We apologise to customers affected by these changes which are a result of matters outside of our control.
