Fundraiser for a wheelchair friendly park

Hattie was at Grant Thorold Park in Grimsby on Saturday 17th August as part of the big push to raise funds to make an all-inclusive park a reality in memory of Sam Blessington.

"The grandmother of Sam Blessington has praised her local community for their kindness as her fundraiser for a wheelchair friendly park builds momentum.

Jean Blessington, who organised the very successful Sam's Park fundraiser fun day, has thanked local residents and businesses for their kindness and generosity after a "fantastic day" at the weekend that raised over £1,000 for the park.

The campaign has been launched in memory of Jean's grandson Sam Blessington, was left with 95 per cent of his brain damaged, after a bleed was discovered on it when he was just three weeks old. He had the condition quadriplegia cerebral palsy, combined with additional health problems, which he developed gradually."   - snippet from article on Grimsby Live - click to read full article
