Have a discount code but not sure how to use it? You're in the right place!
Simply follow the steps below and you'll be on your way to discounted bus travel.
Each discount code we offer is valid for specific tickets across the East of Scotland, for example, some may be valid across our entire area, but some may only be valid within Perth! We also offer discounts specifically for certain passengers, e.g Students or U19s.
Please check the Terms and Conditions for your promo code before use to ensure it's valid for the ticket you're trying to buy. You can see our full range of tickets at our Tickets page or by Planning a Journey to find the perfect ticket for you.
If you signed up for your discount code using a specific email address, you'll need to ensure you use the same email for your StagecoachBus.com account too.
Now that you've checked you're selecting a valid ticket to purchase, it's time to add it to your basket!
This can look slightly different on our app and website, but either way, you're looking for a big "Checkout" button, as seen below:
Once your ticket is all warm and cosy in your basket, you're ready to add in your discount code - simply click "Add a Discount Code", type in the code and hit "Apply". Again, this looks a little different on our App and website, but we've highlighted both below to help you out:
At this point, you'll also need to select the date you want your ticket to start (it can be up to 4 weeks in advance) and let us know if you need a new StagecoachSmart card, or if you'd like us to add your shiny new discounted ticket to your existing smartcard. Please note that it can take up to 5 working days for a new smartcard to be delivered. If you already have a smartcard, it can take up to 48 hours for your new ticket to be loaded onto your card.
You've reached the finishing line and it's time to pay, which is as simple as selecting how you want to pay on the App, or hitting that big blue "Enter Delivery & Payment Details" button on our website.
Enter your billing address, delivery address and your payment details and you've done it! Discounted travel is yours :)
