Electric Tayway

Enjoy quieter, cleaner and smoother buses on the Tayway!

Brand-new electric double-deck buses have made their way to Tayway routes. The new buses are near-silent and help to cut down on pollution and noise, making taking the bus a much more enjoyable experience for everyone. The buses run from morning to evening on a single daily charge, and feature -

• Next stop announcements with visual and audio updates, making it easier for you to know exactly where and when you are getting off
• Contactless payment facilities
• USB charging points at each seat

The electric buses will run on the service 73, with new single-deck electric buses coming for service 72 later in the year, so watch this space!

If you’re travelling regularly, you can get unlimited travel in your chosen travel zone when you buy a:

• Flexi 5/10 (for adults and students)
• 7 day MegaRider (for adults, students, U16s and U19s)
• 4 week MegaRider (for adults and students)
• Monthly MegaRider Xtra (for adults)

You can buy single, DayReturn, DayRider and MegaRider tickets on board from the driver - and you can pay using contactless to avoid handling cash, however our drivers do give change if necessary.

DayRider, MegaRider and Flexi 5/10 tickets can be purchased using the Stagecoach Bus app, and MegaRider and MegaRider Xtra tickets can be bought from the Tickets page on our website.
