We all need to do whatever we can to protect each other from Coronavirus, so in line with the latest government guidance, there are measures in place to help you to travel with confidence, including limiting available seats on buses and enhanced cleaning. Unless you’re exempt, you must wear a face covering when using public transport, throughout your journey. Please avoid busy times, use contactless payment where you can and take your litter with you. There are temporary timetables in Wales between 25 October and 9 November due to a two-week Welsh Government lockdown.

Chester City Sightseeing tours – hop on, hop off all day!

 The Chester City Sightseeing bus tour is back from Saturday 25th July - Operating 7 days a week!

 
No city in Britain is richer in terms of archaeological and architectural treasures than Chester.
 

Your Chester Sightseeing tour ticket is valid for either twenty four or forty eight hours from when you first buy it. This means there’s plenty of time to hop on and off the open-top bus to see the local attractions. 

 

Chester Open TopperYou can:

  • wander along the River Dee or catch a river cruise  – buy a combined bus and river ticket from our driver!

 

Shopaholics can stop off at Frodsham Street and find the Mall and Grosvenor Shopping centre. Unwind in the evening in Chester’s many chic and trendy bars, restaurants, bistros, clubs or even go ten-pin bowling!

When does the tour run?

Chester City Sightseeing bus tours are available daily from Saturday 25th July 2020. This year there will be 12 stops.

Tours start just after 9am, operating every 30 minutes throughout the day until early evening.

**Please note on occasion, roadworks will mean the tour times and route may be disrupted. On Chester Race Days, there could be some delays to the tour. Whenever possible, advance notice will be given of such occurrences.
