Oxford Railway Station closure

Oxford Railway Station is closing on four weekends this autumn due to planned engineering work as part of Network Rail's long-term plans to redevelop the station.

Work will take place on the below dates, with no trains running to or from Oxford station during these times. 

 

  • Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September
  • Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September
  • Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September
  • Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October

 

Rail replacement services

Train operators are planning rail replacement buses whichwill be running from the following terminating stations to Oxford:

Trains from London Paddington and the South West of England will terminate at Didcot Parkway
Trains from Worcester, Malvern and Hereford will terminate at Hanborough 
Trains from the North and the Midlands, will terminate at Banbury

Buses will also run between Banbury, Oxford and Didcot Parkway for CrossCountry customers, plus Oxford and Oxford Parkway for Chiltern Railways customers.
