Evening travel for only £1 on Basingstoke bus services, valid from 1st September until 31st October. Enjoy your local network for less, whether you're heading out to the pub, enjoying the latest film at the cinema, or heading home from a day of shopping. No need for those late night taxis, simply hop on board and purchase your £1 ticket from the driver.

Support sustainable travel for Catch the Bus Month in September, and explore all the improvements made to your local network. 

These improvements are made in partnership with Hampshire County Council, using funding from the Government's Local Authority Bus Grant.

Our buses run up to every 12 minutes across Basingstoke and surrounding areas. Remember - during the day single fares are still capped at just £3.

£1 evening singles will be available on services 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 20, 32 and 76.

When are the tickets valid?

Tickets can be purchased from the driver after 1900 and will be valid for that single journey. 

How can I buy my ticket?

This promotion is not available on the app. Your single ticket must be purchased on the bus - you just need to tell the driver where you're headed and they'll issue you a paper ticket. 

I've already purchased a ticket on the app, can I have a refund?

No, please note we will not be issuing refunds for tickets purchased on the app. For example, if you purchase a NightRider or single ticket on the app but then wish to purchase £1 singles on the bus, your app tickets will not be refunded. 

When does the scheme run?

The scheme will run from 1st September, until 31st October 2026.

What buses can I use the ticket on?

You buy/use your £1 single on all buses serving Basingstoke, please see the full list of routes on the webpage above. 

I'm a concessionary pass holder, what do I need to do?

If you're a concessionary pass holder, you'll just need to scan your pass as normal when you board.
