You'll find our bus routes easy, frequent and convenient. We've left information below to get you started, from your key University bus services, ticketing information, and travelling with us. 

Service 1 - Your University Campus Bus 

Service 1 is the main link across all the University sites and runs frequently 7-days a week:

📍 Runs between the Guildford Town Centre, Guildford Railway Station, Stag Hill Campus, Manor Hill Campus and Royal Surrey County Hospital

🕐 Up to every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday and up to every 30 minutes on Sundays

🚌 Runs throughout the night as service N1 (more info below)

🎫 Tickets start at just £1.80 across the campus (more info below)

N1 - Your Night Bus 

Heading on a night out? Look no further than the N1, your dedicated night bus, making sure you get home safe and sound. N1 runs Monday to Saturday after 0015, every 45 minutes. A flat fare of £3 applies, or holders of a NightRider or University of Surrey app ticket can travel at no extra charge.

The N1 follows the same route as service 1, getting you to the town centre and back, for a night out with friends.

Tickets & fares - unlock 20% off

Discounted UoS MegaRider tickets offer unlimited travel in your chosen ticket zone, and generally work out cheaper if you're travelling every day. your exclusive tickets can be accessed through the Corporate section of the Stagecoach Bus App, with a valid University email address. Additional perks of UoS discounted app tickets include:

- Valid for use on the N1 with no extra charge

The annual ticket is valid for 365 days from activation (not a calendar academic year).

28-Day MegaRider tickets >>> 

28-Day MegaRider tickets offer unlimited travel for 28 consecutive days from activation. 

• 28-Day Guildford Local MegaRider - £65 / £2.32 per day in the Guildford Local ticket zone. 
• 28-Day Guildford and Godalming MegaRider - £85 / £3.03 per day in the Guildford & Godalming ticket zone.
• 28-Day Gold MegaRider - £100 / £3.57 per day in the Gold ticket zone, covering all of Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex.

Other tickets are not discounted through the University, but are still great value for a single or DayRider ticket, and might work better for you depending on your travel patterns!

How do I access my exclusive discount? 

1. Download the Stagecoach Bus App and create an account with your University email address (your account must be created using an email address with the domain ‘@surrey.ac.uk’)
2. Once logged in, click onto the menu and select ‘My Account’, scroll down and select ‘Employer Travel Scheme’, where you can enter the Scheme ID 'OGmcopYBSfMgRftT'
3. Follow the next steps on your screen to verify your account and begin your journey with Stagecoach! Simpy add your ticket to the basket and complete the necessary details to checkout.

How do I use the bus? 

When you see your bus, simply put your arm/hand out to signal for the bus to stop. Once onboard either show the driver your existing ticket, or purchase one to your destination. When you'd like to alight just press the bell.
