Service update – Friday 20 June 2025

Drivers have voted to accept a reworked pay deal and the industrial action has ended. Our focus has now returned to running full services across Ayrshire, and continuing to run our services across the rest of West Scotland.

Service update – Wednesday 18 June 2025

Following further discussions, our drivers will return to work tomorrow, Wednesday 18 June and will ballot on a pay deal on Friday 20 June.

• Full service will resume in Ardrossan, Arran, Ayr and Kilmarnock.
• Cumbernauld and Dumfries & Galloway will continue with no changes.

Due to the ongoing pay dispute, Unite the Union has informed us of their intention to carry out further industrial action. This will take place daily from Monday 9 June for up to six weeks.

We understand that this news may be unsettling for the communities we serve, and we want to reassure you that we’re here to keep you informed and supported every step of the way during this challenging time.

The industrial action relates to driver pay for our employees based at depots in Ayr, Ardrossan, Arran, and Kilmarnock. Regrettably, this action will disrupt our services and cause inconvenience to our customers. As we play a vital role in helping people stay connected with their communities, we are doing everything we can to operate a limited service using the drivers available to us.
