Proudly Supporting Night Before Christmas Campaign

We’re pleased to announce that we’re working in partnership with the Night Before Christmas Campaign (NB4CC) for a fourth year running.

The
Night Before Christmas Campaign is a local Ayrshire charity that ensures children and young adults across West Scotland can experience the magic of Christmas, through their fundraising campaign ‘Red Bags Full of Joy’.

The charity was created in 2015 when a 12-year-old child from Annbank asked her mum if every child got a box of gifts the night before Christmas (Christmas Eve). Founder Jodie McFarlane, explained to her daughter that not every child is as lucky as she is, and that some children don’t get anything at Christmas time.

In 2015 Jodie and her mum Isabella, started a small campaign and with the help of the local community they collected and distributed 90 boxes – each filled with love, gifts and the spirit of Christmas with only weeks to spare until Christmas.

Eight years later and with the help of volunteers known as ‘elves’, the charity have made an impact on over 6,840 individuals with ‘Red Bags Full of Joy’ campaign.

Just like Santa and his team of elves, Jodie and the
NB4CC elves work hard all year round to make sure all children and young adults can experience the magic of Christmas, working from January right up until Christmas Eve.

Supporting our local communities

We’re extremely proud to be supporting the Night Before Christmas Campaign and bring festive joy to the local communities that we serve.

Over the past four years our employees across our West Scotland depots have come together to generously donate gifts to help make Christmas that little bit more special for those who need it the most.

Last year we donated a bus full of gifts, helping the Night Before Christmas Campaign spread even more joy.

We started fundraising early this year when some of our Stagecoach team headed to Glasgow to take on the ‘Kiltwalk’ in April. From The Mighty Stride (22.7 miles) to The Big Stroll (14.4 miles) and The Wee Wander (3 miles), we all got our steps in for a good cause.

With more children and young adults being referred each year, it’s important that the charity have the space to be able to help. That’s why last year, we were pleased to give more support by donating a much-needed storage container allowing the NB4CC elves to reach more people in need.

We'll round off our NB4CC funding raising for 2024 with Santa and his team of mischievous elves. While raising funds for the Night Before Christmas Campaign the team will visit various areas across West Scotland spreading festive cheer to everyone they meet during December with our very own Santa’s Grotto bus.

With a little help from our fantastic customers and employees last Christmas we were able to deliver a bus full of gifts to Jodie and her team of elves to help spread festive joy to those who needed it the most.
