Getting there

Hillsborough (Blue & Yellow routes) has food and drink venues plus various shops and is a short walk from the festival site. Trams run from the City Centre up to every 6 minutes (10 minutes on Sunday)

Hillsborough Park (Yellow route only) is almost across the road from the festival entry gates. Trams run from the City Centre up to every 12 minutes (every 20 minutes on Sunday).

Getting back

After the final headline act you should follow the signage on the festival site for the exit to Leppings Lane tram stop where all trams to the City Centre will board, There will be no access to the stop from the street. Additional trams will run providing frequent departures towards the City Centre. Please, only use Leppings Lane tram stop when leaving the festival as other stops* are unlikely to be served at the busiest times, until crowds have been cleared from the festival area.

A queuing system will be in operation and you will be required to show a valid tram ticket to access the platform. We'll have staff selling tram tickets at the festival exit but those already holding tickets will enjoy fast track access to the boarding point at Leppngs Lane!

*Tram stops expected to be closed at the busiest time are Middlewood, Hillsborough Park, Hillsborough, Bamforth Street, Langsett Primrose View and Infirmary Road. This means trams will not set down or pick up at these stops.

Changes to services and stops

In addition to these trams, Malin Bridge tram stop will not have any service at the following times, with the trams concerned diverted to Middlewood to serve the festival:

- No service at Malin Bridge between 21:34 and 23:38 on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 July

- No service at Malin Bridge between 20:46 and 22:46 on Sunday 24 July

We expect a number of tram stops to also close at the end of the event, meaning trams will not pick up or set down at these stops. The stops that will close once the festival ends include Malin Bridge (see above(, Leppngs Lane outbound, Middlewood, Hillborough Park both directions and Hillsborough both directions. It is likely that Bamforth Street, Langsett Primrose View and Infirnary Road tram stops may also be closed.

Please note that Tram Train and Purple services will operate as timetabled however, football at Rotherham United may increase demand on Tram Train services.
