Stagecoach “Tomorrow’s Local Legends” Bursary Terms & Conditions”
1 Definitions
“Bursary” means the award of up to £3,000 to be awarded to the successful club applying to us pursuant to the terms of this agreement
“Club” means the sports club to whom we are awarding the bursary, as referred to in your application form and any supporting documents.
“Entry Form” means the form on this website in which you provide details to support your application to receive a bursary from us
“We” , “Us” and “Our” means Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire, Head Office, Broadacre House, 16-20 Lowther Street, Carlisle, CA3 8DA.
“You” and “Your” means the club receiving the bursary bound by these terms and conditions.
2 These Terms
By completing and submitting an entry form, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions confirm that:
2.1 Any signatories are authorised by the club named in the entry form to enter into a legally-binding agreement on the club’s behalf
2.2 The information provided to us in the Entry Form and any supporting documents is true and complete in all material respects, as well as adopted or approved by your Club;
2.3 You understand that any offer of the grant of a bursary will be subject to these terms and conditions;
2.4 You have the power to accept the grant of the bursary on behalf of your club if your application is not successful and to repay it if the conditions of grant are not met.
3 Eligible Clubs
Only junior sports clubs (whose members are aged between 5 and 16 years) located in West Cumbria may apply for the grant of a Bursary. Our employees and members of their immediate families (as well as those of the the agencies or companies associated with the grant of any bursary are ineligible to apply for the grant of a bursary.
4 How To Apply
4.1 You can apply for a bursary to be awarded to your club from 17:00 on 4th
December 2019.
4.2 Each club must provide full contact details to be eligible to receive the bursary, including email address and telephone numbers, and bank details.
4.3 Once your entry form and all supporting information has been successfully verified by Tangerine Communications, successful applicants will be notified and the amount of the bursary to be awarded will be confirmed on 6th January 2020.
4.4 We accept no responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected, entry forms or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise
4.5 It is the responsibility of any club which is the recipient of a bursary to ensure that we and Tangerine Communications can contact you at all reasonable times to enable you to receive a Bursary.
5 Grant of a Bursary
5.1 We will award a combined total of £3000 (made up of successful applications for a maximum of £500 per application) to eligible entrants (as per the terms of clause 3 above) for the sole purpose of purchasing sport equipment for your club as set out in their entry form.
5.2 Each successful club will receive a bursary acceptance letter via e-mail sent to the address details provided on its entry form, and we will pay the sum of the bursary awarded to that club (as per the terms of clause 5.1 above) via the bank details set out in their entry form.
5.3 The award of a bursary to a club and the amount of bursary awarded is at our sole discretion and our decision in that regard will be final and we will not enter into any further correspondence in relation to our decision.
5.4 Once awarded, the amount of any bursary cannot be increased, altered or amended.
5.5 Any sports equipment purchased by your club using the bursary must prominently feature our brand assets, which will be provided to you on request.
5.6 You agree to keep all equipment whose purchase is funded by the bursary in good repair for a period of 12 months following its grant, and acknowledge that you are obliged to use your own financial resources to ensure that it is replaced or repaired as appropriate.
5.7 You agree to publicly acknowledge our grant of a bursary as appropriate, and to acknowledge our support in any publicity which refers to its grant to the club.
5.8 We will not be liable for any failure to award a bursary to a club caused by the provision of incorrect or incomplete information, postal disputes or other events beyond our control relating to the award of a bursary.
5.9 We will not be responsible nor liable for any loss or damage incurred by you should you be unable to redeem your bursary money for whatever reason.
