From Fife to Edinburgh Airport

Jetting off to the airport? Stagecoach's JET services provides a direct public transport link to between Fife and Edinburgh Airport.

In May 2025, we launched our brand-new JET787 service that will provide a direct and convenient service between St Andrews, Guardbridge, Cupar, Auchtermuchty, Kinross P&R and Halbeath P&R.

Our JET747 service that runs from Halbeath Park & Ride to Edinburgh Airport, with plenty of room for luggage and dropped off right at the door. And don't forget free parking at Halbeath and Ferrytoll Park and Rides.

In September 2025, we launched brand-new electric vehicles on the JET747 route. You will be able to enjoy quieter, cleaner, and smoother journeys to and from the airport.

The JET787 bus route

The JET787 is a direct route to Edinburgh Airport and has limited stops to ensure a frequent and efficient service. Journeys from St Andrews will take up to 90 minutes, with journeys from Kinross P&R taking up to 40 minutes, with passengers being dropped off right at the door at Edinburgh Airport.  Here are the stops on the route:

- St Andrews

- Guardbridge

- Auchtermuchty

- Cupar

- Kinross Park & Ride

- Halbeath Park & Ride

The JET747 bus route

The JET747 is a direct route to Edinburgh Airport and has limited stops to ensure a frequent and efficient service. Here are the stops on the route:

- Halbeath Park & Ride 
- Inverkeithing Rail Station
- Ferrytoll Park & Ride 
- Edinburgh Airport – Stance G, right in front of departures

You can catch local Stagecoach services throughout Fife and connect with the JET747 service at Halbeath P&R or Ferrytoll P&R. With free and easy parking available you can leave the car at the park and rides and sit back and relax. 

The JET747 buses are now full electric meaning you can enjoy a quieter, cleaner, and smoother journeys to and from Edinburgh Airport. The buses are near-silent and help cut down pollution and noise, making taking the bus a much more enjoyable experience for everyone going to and from the airport. The buses run from morning to evening on a single daily charge, and feature - 

  • Next stop announcements with visual and audio updates, making it easier for you to know exactly where and when you're getting off
  • USB charging points at each seat
  • Contactless payment facilities

Airport Services tickets

Our ticket prices are designed to save you money from parking at the airport and give you great value.

An adult single ticket from Dunfermline to Edinburgh Airport is £12.30, and if you're going from St Andrews to Edinburgh Airport, an adult single is £21, but if you’re JETTING off, then our JET Period Return is perfect for you at only £22.50. It’s valid for a return trip (1 journey in each direction) within 28 days, available anytime from anywhere on the JET routes or from anywhere on our Express Network (except X7) to Edinburgh Airport. 

If you’re travelling as a couple or in a group, our JET Duo Ticket is perfect with two Adult period returns for £39.90! All you need to do is buy when you board!

Family holiday? U16s can buy a JET Period Return for just £1 when travelling with an over 18.

If you're travelling more often, our Flexi 5/10 ticket or one of our 7 day or 4 week MegaRider tickets might be better suited to you.

Don’t forget your pass

Do you work at Edinburgh Airport?
We’ve introduced a staff discount offering 50% off single and return tickets when travelling from anywhere on the JET747 route. You must show your permanent Airport staff pass/ID, with the EDI code showing, to the driver to buy or use your ticket. 

Special DayReturn ticket, exclusive to Airport staff, can be purchased for just £6.20. 
Edinburgh Airport staff can also request a 10 journey ticket when travelling from Halbeath/Ferrytoll to Edinburgh Airport on JET747, the ticket is valid for 28 days and costs just £30.50.

 

Free travel is also available for Scottish residents Under 22, over 60 or those with a disability. You’ll just need to scan your National Entitlement Card when you board the bus. Find out more here.

 

 

The JET services are not just for getting you to the airport!

Our new JET787 service provides another service for you to get to St Andrews if you fancy a day out in the famous old town. With free parking at Halbeath and Kinross Park and Rides, you can save on the hassle of parking in St Andrews. Also, the service provides another connection if you needed to go into Cupar, Auchtermuchty, or Guardbridge.
