City Sightseeing Cambridge tour – hop on, hop off!

Enjoy a City Sightseeing Cambridge open top bus tour with Stagecoach. You can also choose to take a leisurely punt along the River Cam with our combined ticket bus tour and punting ticket!

Your bus ticket is valid for twenty four hours from when you first buy it. This means there’s plenty of time to hop on and off the Cambridge sightseeing bus to see lots of attractions in this historic and beautiful city.


The open top bus tour

The Cambridge sightseeing tour operates via nineteen stops all over the City, taking you on a tour of all the city's top tourist attractions. Be inspired by the museums and art galleries, or relax in the evening in the enchanting restaurants and pubs.

  • Kings College Chapel – completed in 1547, it has the world’s largest fan vault and stained glass windows
  • University Botanic Garden – discover plants from all over the world in forty acres of beautiful gardens and glasshouses
  • Fitzwilliam Museum –  See everything from Egyptian coffins to Impressionist & 20th century masterpieces; illuminated manuscripts to Renaissance sculpture; rare coins and medals to Asian arts. Admission to the Museum and exhibitions is free. The upcoming exhibitions are:
    • Degas: a passion for perfection
      3 October 2017 - 14 January 2018
      This exhibition marks the centenary of Degas’s death, and provides a chance to see the Museum's holdings of works by the artist – the most extensive and representative in the UK, alongside some significant international loans. Combined bus tour and punting trip

Punting on the River Cam is a great way to relax after a day's sightseeing. Scudamore’s punt trips leave from near our bus stop in Silver Street.  Your punt guide will take you along the famous College Backs entertaining you with insight into the history of our city and its famous university. 

The punts can seat up to twelve people and are dressed with cushions and blankets. They come equipped with additional blankets and umbrellas, in case the weather changes.

Cambridge City Sightseeing bus tours are available daily all the year round. 


From 1st October 2017 until 24th March 2018 the tours will start at  10:10 and leave every forty minutes until 16:50 from Silver Street (stop 1).

A full tour takes about 1 hour 20 minutes.

Punting tours

Shared punt tours along the College Backs are available daily from 09:00. They leave every fifteen to twenty minutes.

How to buy tour tickets

Cambridge sightseeing tour tickets can be purchased on the bus from the driver – there’s no need to book in advance.
