In line with the latest government guidance, we've put in place further measures in England to help customers practice social distancing. This includes limiting the available seats on buses.
Face coverings are compulsory when using public transport in England and Scotland. In Wales it is compulsory to wear a three layer face covering on public transport. It is also now compulsory to wear face coverings when using indoor public transport hubs in England only.
The safety of our customers and employees is our priority, so please avoid busy times, use contactless payment and take your litter with you. For up to date information see our Coronavirus page
As more people return to work in England, to help keep everyone safe we have reduced the number of seats available on our buses to promote social distancing, so we’re increasing some of services we operate. We’re add extra buses at busy times where possible and have taken into account the needs of our communities.
We’re maintaining essential routes where possible and have taken into account the needs of our communities.
Please see our guidance for travelling safely for more details. Check and plan your journey before you travel, be prepared to wait if your bus is full and try to travel at quiet times. We’ve introduced a new busy bus indicator in our live map view, on the Stagecoach Bus App, to show the busiest and quietest times to travel, based on how many people normally use the service.
