How do you buy an adult single or return on the app?

Buying a single ticket on the app before you travel is easy as 1-2-3:

  1. enter your journey details into the app journey planner or use our new ‘ticket finder’ in the Buy Tickets section of the app
  2. search to see single fares and suggested routes for your journey
  3. buy before you board and your ticket will be ready to use whenever you need it

How do I use my mobile single or return ticket?

Follow our three simple steps to use your digital ticket!

  1. Go to the 'My Ticket' section of your app to find your ticket. Not sure where to look? Tap the three lines on the top left of the screen and select 'Get your ticket'.
  2. Activate your ticket before getting on the busyou'll need an internet connection. After activation your single or return ticket will be valid for boarding for 90 minutes, so you’re covered in case you need to pop home for something you forgot.
  3. Show your ticket when boarding or use the QR scanner just next to the ticket machine.

Purchased a ‘Return’ ticket?

Bonus! You’ll get two mobile tickets in the ‘My Ticket’ section of the app, one for the way there, and one for the way back.

Simply activate the first ticket with the location you’re travelling from, and when you’re on your way back, activate your second (return) ticket.

Plans changed and you need a refund? No problem - we’ve got you

Mobile single and return tickets on the Stagecoach Bus App are able to be refunded automatically if you no longer need them – just tap the ‘Cancel ticket’ button on your ticket.  You can only request a refund on unactivated, unused mobile tickets – or you can hold onto them to use another day as they’re valid to be used any time within one month from purchase.

 

Can I still buy a ticket on the bus?

Of course you can, whether you prefer using cash or contactless or aren't able to use a mobile device, our drivers have a wide range of tickets available to buy on board.Buying your tickets before you board means less paper, helping us to help the planet and keeps our buses tidy for everybody.


Can I buy a child or young person single or return ticket on the App?

Not at the moment – but we are working on it!
