Huge savings for Under 19s

North East - Under 19 tickets

U19's can buy discounted bus tickets for all Stagecoach buses in Newcastle, South Shields, Sunderland, Teesside and Hartlepool.

Tickets can be bought on-board or on the app.

Most school buses in Tyne and Wear are operated by Nexus and Stagecoach (along with other North East bus operators) operate a network of services at schooltimes on their behalf.

Where you can travel with Under 19 tickets

Under 19 tickets allow you to travel anywhere on Stagecoach North East buses in Tyne and Wear and the Tees Valley.

That includes Newcastle, South Shields, Sunderland, Hartlepool, Stockton and Middlesbrough. The Stagecoach Under 19 tickets are also valid in Northumberland, as far west as Hexham on Service 685, and to Ponteland and Darras Hall on Services X77, X78 and X79.

NB: Stagecoach U19 is not available on a limited number of routes funded by Local Authorities, or which are paid for by third-party organisations. This includes UTC South Durham services, and special routes to schools secured by Nexus. For more details, please get in touch.

*Please note: 28 day Under 19 tickets will be delivered on a Stagecoach Smartcard.
Don't worry, all you need to do is present your new Smartcard to the ticket machine when you board the bus, alongside your ID card, and our friendly driver will do the rest!

Although U19 ticket holders no longer require a Stagecoach U19 ID card, drivers may occasionally ask for proof of age.
