No hunting for change – pay quickly and easily using your contactless-enabled credit or debit card.
What is Contactless?
No need for chip and PIN – simply place your card close to the reader and pay in seconds.
Ensure you have the contactless symbol on your credit or debit card to ensure you card is contactless-ready. Or ensure your mobile is charged and ready to use Apple Pay/ Google Pay.
Board any Stagecoach* bus in Oxfordshire or any Oxford Tube coach, ask the driver for a ticket, the ticket machine display will show you the ticket is ready, place your card or phone close to the reader to pay.
Wait for the beep.
And you're done! Your ticket will print and you can use your ticket as usual.
Contactless payment can be used for all single, returns, day and weekly tickets up to the value of £30.
Smartcard top ups for one week megarider and Oxford SmartZone can also be paid for using contactless payment, you will be asked for pay first by presenting your contactless card/ phone, then the driver will ask for your smartcard to be presented on the reader.
Contactless travel is currently available on all Stagecoach buses in Oxfordshire and all Oxford Tube coaches.
