Stagecoach offer a wide choice of travel options for young people in Oxfordshire. Whether you want to travel by bus or tube, occasionally or regularly, you’ll find the ticket you need.
Up to three children under the age of 5 can travel free at all times. They’ll need to be accompanied by a fare-paying passenger or pass holder.
Children aged 5 to 15 years can travel for between half and two-thirds the cost of the equivalent adult single or day return. This excludes ‘N’ night buses eg the N1 night bus.
Children aged 5 to 15 can travel with a child dayrider ticket, which are available for some areas. They offer unlimited travel in your chosen travel zone or zones and are valid for twenty four hours from the time you buy them.
Young people who are 16 and over pay the full adult fare for all single journey and day tickets.
Our longer term bus tickets offer you better value for money than regularly paying for single or day tickets. These tickets are available to anyone under 18 - you may need to show ID to prove your age.

Our megarider ticket provides unlimited travel in your chosen area. You can choose how long you want your tickets for – 1 week, 4 weeks, 13 week or 52 weeks.
Where available, you can pay for a megarider Xtra ticket by a monthly recurring payment and add it to your StagecoachSmart card.
Children aged 5 to 18 can get an Oxford SmartZone 18 & under pass, which gives you a 25% discount on adult Oxford SmartZone passes. It’s perfect if you want to use Stagecoach, Oxford Bus Company and Thames Travel services within the Oxford SmartZone area.
You can choose SmartZone tickets for 1 week, 4 weeks, 13 weeks or a year.
The best value ticket will depend on where you are travelling and when.
There are a number of discounted tickets available for Children and young people for travel on the Oxford Tube between Oxford and London. There are also child single and return tickets available for journeys made between Hillingdon and London.

Children under 14 always need to be accompanied by an adult on our Oxford Tube services between Oxford and London. This excludes children travelling between Oxford and Lewknor, as long as they’re in school uniform.
