Switched on Bus Travel for Oxford

The future of zero-emission bus travel has arrived!

At Stagecoach, we are going all electric for Oxford. Our Oxford City Centre services are switching to zero-emission buses. And with every journey you make on an electric bus, isn't it great knowing you will be helping to make Oxford a greener city to live in?

Why Stagecoach is making the transition to electric buses

Just one EV bus saves 66 tonnes of CO2 per year compared to a standard bus. That’s the same as the emissions produced by driving a petrol car 169,000 miles. The project is expected to save an estimated 9,200 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually, equivalent to removing over 6,000 cars from the road. Stagecoach is making a huge equivalent to removing over 6,000 cars from the road. Stagecoach is making a huge investment to deliver the new electric buses and the infrastructure to support them.

Our commitment to a greener future

Stagecoach aims to operate a fully electric bus across the whole UK by 2035. Oxford is one of the first cities to benefit from this transition.
