Oxfordshire fare changes from 20th March 2022

We've frozen most of our prices since at least 2020, but from 20th March we're making a few changes to the tickets we sell across Stagecoach West including single and returns. Most customers will see a new price for their trip. We recommend checking our online ticket finder to make sure you're getting the best value ticket for your journey.

All of our Day and MegaRider tickets will now be cheaper across the region on the Stagecoach Bus app. Take a look online and switch to save more on your trip with us.

The key changes for our customers in Oxfordshire are summarised below.

Singles/Returns

> Return tickets will no longer be available within the Oxford Smartzone area.

> In some cases, a DayRider ticket will be better value for money then a return ticket. Our drivers will provide you with the best value ticket for the journey you wish to make.

DayRider’s

> All child DayRider’s (except West Gold) will be available to all Under 19’s. For West Gold, day tickets will still be split into child, 18 and under and adult passenger types.

> Oxford Plus and Banbury Family DayRider’s will become Group tickets for up to 4 people comprised of any combination of adults and children.

Flexi5

> We will be introducing this ticket as a new product that offer’s 5 DayRider’s for the price of 4. It will be available for all Adult, Under 19 and Child DayRider products.

> Flexi 5s will be exclusively available on the Stagecoach Bus app.

> 12 trip tickets will no longer be available except for the Oxford Tube.

7 Day MegaRider

> These tickets will now be sold exclusively on a SmartCard (online or on bus), alternatively you can purchase the ticket for slightly less on the Stagecoach Bus app.

> All areas will have an Adult and Under 19 option (Except West Gold which will have an adult option only).

28 Day

> These ticket will no longer be available to buy from the driver. 

> 28 days tickets will be available online and on the Stagecoach Bus app.

> All areas will have an Adult and Under 19 option (Except West Gold).

13 Week

> Where available, adult ranges of these tickets will be withdrawn (Except Oxford Smartzone).

Annual

> This range will be discontinued, except for Oxford Tube and Oxford Smartzone.

> If you’re travelling with us every day, sign-up online to our Xtra smartcard for automatic monthly payments and save up to 15% on weekly ticket prices. 

Duo Tickets

> This range will be discontinued except for the Bicester Duo.

Changes to MegaRider ticket zones

Oxfordshire Gold – Range renamed West Gold and will now include Bristol, Gloucestershire Swindon and Wiltshire. 

Oxford – No change to ticket zone. New App only U19 and Group DayRider.

Oxford Plus – No change to ticket zone.

Oxfordshire Country – Tickets valid in Banbury. New Day ticket range introduced.

Banbury Plus – Range discontinued, Oxfordshire Country tickets are now valid in Banbury.

Bicester – Range discontinued, West Gold ticket range is now the alternative.

Headington – Range discontinued, Oxford ticket range is now the alternative.
