Our StudentRider ticket offers unlimited termly or annual travel in your chosen ticket zone. This includes travel at the weekend or in the holidays for studying, getting your part-time job or going out with friends and exploring!

Who is StudentRider for?

School children in primary or secondary school (between the ages of 5-16)
Students in full time college, sixth form, university or further education

Please note if you are in college, sixth form, university or any other form of higher education, you must present valid Student ID as verification when boarding a bus on a school or college day.

Do I have to buy a StudentRider?

StudentRider generally offers the best savings for everyday travel, however we have a number of Young Persons fare schemes across our network you might benefit from. You may find that depending on your travel patterns, buying singles under the Government Single Fare Cap may work out cheaper for you*.

*A £2 national Fare Cap Scheme that has been announced for January 2027. While we cannot currently confirm Stagecoach will be included in the scheme, you may wish to consider your options when purchasing longer period tickets. Refund information can be found here.

Our Annual and Autumn Term tickets are available for purchase now.

When looking at tickets, please ensure your ticket zone covers your entire journey. You may find your journey is not fully covered by a town or city zone, and will need to purchase a Gold ticket covering the areas here.
