Kirkcaldy Cat Trail

The Wemyss Ware Cat Trail has arrived in Kirkcaldy!

The Wemyss Ware Cat Trail has arrived in Kirkcaldy! 17 large-scale cat sculptures will be dotted around the Lang Toun from 25th April to 6th September, which are uniquely designed by artists and inspired by the Wemyss Ware pottery cats. And there is a roaming cat that will be in different locations around Kirkcaldy...

We're proudly sponsoring one of the cat sculptures - Asparagus Misfit the Theatre Cat! Find out more about Asparagus below.

If you're feline excited to get out and about to see the cats, then you can follow the trail and discover each unique sculpture, and the best bit is you can do it by bus!

About the Trail

The Adam Smith Global Foundation are celebrating the town's iconic pottery heritage with 17 cat sculptures placed around the town that will create a trail of discovery. The sculptures are designed by local artists and are inspired by the Wemyss Ware pottery cats.

Each sculpture is sponsored by local businesses and will be placed across the trail for the people of Kirkcaldy and beyond to go hunting and find the cats.

Meet Asparagus Misfit the Theatre Cat

The cat we're proudly sponsoring is called Asparagus Misfit the Theatre Cat. Gus was brought to life by Susan Warner, who is a resident artist at the King's Theatre in Kirkcaldy.

Gus invites you to pause for a moment. To think of something you’d like to change, or grow, or let go of. To consider that the brightest things often have a whole world underneath them.
