Travel where you want, when you want, how you want by bus, Metro, train or ferry with a Day Rover ticket.

Transfare

Need to make a journey using a combination of the bus, Metro or ferry in Tyne and Wear? Our Transfare tickets allow you to buy just one ticket.

Transfare allows you to make a journey of two legs on different types of transport eg bus and Metro, Metro and ferry, and rail and bus.

You must start the second part of your journey within 90 minutes of buying your ticket.

Pop Pay As You Go

Pop Pay As You Go (PAYG) is a smart way to pay for public transport in North East England.

Simply top up your Pop PAYG card and use it to pay for your journeys on Metro, on almost all buses and the Shields Ferry.

Pop PAYG is valid on services in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham and the Tees Valley.

Explorer North East

Get 1 day’s unlimited travel in the North East with our Explorer ticket. You’ll be able to travel from the Scottish Borders down to Richmond in the south and Carlisle in the west.

You’ll be able to use it on Stagecoach Cumbria services within the Carlisle City area and Route 685 (Carlisle to Newcastle), trains between Newcastle and Sunderland and the Shields Ferry.

You’ll also be able to use it on local bus services operated by Stagecoach North East, Arriva North East, Go North East, Travelsure and Tyne & Wear Metro.

Child (16 or under) One Day - £6.90
Family (1 or 2 adults & up to 3 children) One Day - £25.00
