TVCA U21 Single and Day tickets

On Sunday 16 June 2024, new young persons tickets are introduced in Tees Valley.

These new tickets are priced at up to £1 Single and £3 Day, and are exclusively for young persons aged 21 years or younger (ages 5 to 21 inclusive).

They are valid on all local buses throughout the Tees Valley Combined Authority area. So whether it's around Stockton, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Darlington, or Redcar and Cleveland, you're covered.

These tickets are also valid on some cross-boundary routes, such as Service 59 into County Durham.

You can buy these tickets on the bus from your driver. Additionally, the U21 Day ticket can also be bought as an m-ticket on the Stagecoach, Arriva or Go North East apps.

Customers aged 16 or over may be required to show a valid ID when buying or using these U21 products. Accepted forms of ID include Stagecoach U19 Card, driving licence (inc. provisional), passport, student ID, NUS Extra/ TOTUM card, PASS card, Young Persons ID Card or an Arriva Teen Card.

With the introduction of these new U21 products, the Stagecoach U19 Single and U19 Day tickets are withdrawn. However, Stagecoach U19 Week, U19 4-week, and U19 Smartzone tickets continue unchanged.

These U21 products are introduced through a partnership of Stagecoach, Tees Valley Combined Authority, local councils and other bus operators, and are funded through HM Government's BSIP initiative.
