North East Unirider

What is unirider?

unirider is the discount student bus ticket that’s always in your pocket...

Whether you want a day in the library or a night on the town, a trip to the shops or a pub lunch, never worry about getting there with  unirider from just 86p per day*.

Don’t worry about change for the bus – pay at the start of the year or the term and never have to think about scraping together travel money again. No more walking home from campus in the rain, no more expensive taxis.

Once you buy your unirider, that’s it, you just show it to the driver,  along with your student ID, whenever you board a Stagecoach bus.

What if I lose it?

If your ticket is lost or stolen you should report this to the police and notify Stagecoach immediately. If you or we cannot recover your ticket, we may consider an application for a duplicate ticket. Even in those cases where it is deemed appropriate to replace a lost or stolen ticket:

  • We will only replace a ticket once within its validity period.
  • We will impose an administration charge of £25.
  • We will insist on the loss or theft having been reported to the police.
  • We will insist on the claim being in writing either by email or through the post to our head office. You will need to provide proof of purchase.

What if I need to cancel my ticket?

If you choose to cancel your unirider ticket before the end of its validity period, we will calculate your refund by deducting the cost of the best value tickets available to buy during the period of time for which you have held the ticket, from the total ticket price, minus an admin fee of £10.
