How do I get a StudentRider bus ticket?

Click on the button above for the ticket area you would like. If you don't already have the app, you'll be prompted to download it or you can do so from the App Store or Google Play. Your StudentRider will be added to the app as a mobile ticket, which you simple show to the driver when you board.

To buy your ticket:

1. Open the app and select Tickets

2. Choose South East and select the area you'll be travelling in

3. Tap Student to see the StudentRider tickets available

4. Choose the ticket that's right for you and complete your purchase

You'll need to enter a few details, including the name of your school/college/university, to activate your ticket.

A South East StudentRider is valid on all Stagecoach buses across Kent and East Sussex (excluding Brighton). Local StudentRiders are only valid within a specific travel zone, so be sure to check the zone map before buying. 

How much is a StudentRider and where can I use it?

We offer both local and region-wide StudentRider tickets.

Local StudentRider tickets are available for each of our travel zones for £665 which works out £1.99 a day.

The South East StudentRider is valid on all Stagecoach buses across Kent and East Sussex (excluding Brighton), giving you unlimited travel throughout the region for £968 for £2.90 a day.

Can I cancel my StudentRider bus pass?

Yes, if your plans change, you can apply for a refund, subject to our standard terms and conditions.
