Getting to Exeter University by bus

Our route 4 bus is really popular with students as it connects the University’s Streatham campus with the city centre to every 12 minutes, 6 days a week. Buses run from 6am until late evening Monday to Saturday. On Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights we run a night bus, Service UNI, linking student accommodation and the City Centre every 30 minutes between midnight and 4am.

As well as these services, we run lots of other buses across the city so no matter where you are living in Exeter, there’s bound to be a bus service nearby to help you explore your new home.

Here’s a few ideas to get you going:

Exeter’s independents We’re proud of how many independent businesses you can find in the city centre. Everything from vintage clothing to crafts to coffee and cocktails.

Princesshay is home to many high end retailers including All Saints, Apple and Hollister. With many stores offering discounts for students there’s a great opportunity to pick up some great bargains!

Guildhall/Queen St Dining As well as a great selection of shops including GAME and Primark, Guildhall is also home to Queen Street Dining. Here, venues include Brewdog, Pho and The Terrace - a restaurant, cocktail bar, club and live music venue all in one. Plus, the fantastic Boom Battle Bar has a host of activities such as escape rooms and axe throwing!

Exeter Quayside is a short distance from the city centre and is home to a mix of bars, restaurants and clubs as well as a climbing centre and outdoor activity centre. Or why not hire bikes and cycle the Exe Trail from the city all the way to the seaside in Exmouth.
