International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight

If you're planning to attend the festival on 4th and 5th September, the bus is the easiest way to get there and back!

If you can’t leave the car at home, Stagecoach has partnered with South Ayrshire Council to provide convenient park and ride and park and walk options:

 

Ayr Racecourse - Park & Ride or Park & Walk (pre-book required)

Seafield Racecourse - Park & Walk (pre-book required)

Rozelle Estate - Park & Ride or Park & Walk (Saturday only, pre-book required) 

Blackburn Drive - Blue Badge holders only

🚌 Shuttle buses will run throughout the festival with drop-off points at Ayr Esplanade - right in the heart of the action! Buses will run up to every 5-10 minutes during the following times:

 

  • Friday 4th September between 1200 - 2200
  • Saturday 5th September between 1015 - 2000

 

Arriving early on Friday? 
Why not make your journey easier by parking at Ayr Racecourse Park & Ride and hopping on our free shuttle service to Ayr Bus Station?

Shuttles run every 30 minutes between 1200 and 1530, so you can sit back, relax, and avoid the hassle of parking in town.

Park, walk and ride to the Ayr Show

In partnership with South Ayrshire Council, Stagecoach will provide a park and ride shuttle service from Ayr Racecourse and Rozelle Park during the festival, dropping off even closer to the action this year. 

Ayr Racecourse 

The bus will leave up to every 5-10 minutes on Friday and Saturday, picking up from Craigie Park, Craigie Road, and Ayr Esplanade and dropping off at Craigie Park, Craigie Road, and Charlotte Street, Ayr.

Rozelle Park 

The bus will leave up to every 5-10 minutes, picking up from the bus stop outside the entrance to Rozelle Park on Monument Road and Racecourse View and dropping off at the bus stop outside the entrance to Rozelle Park on Monument Road and Seafield Crescent, Ayr.

The shuttle service will operate up to every 5-10 minutes between the following dates and times:

  • Friday 4th September 2025 1200 - 2200 (Ayr Racecourse only)
  • Saturday 5th September 2025 1015 - 2000

It’s easy to catch the bus to Ayr

The X77 express service from Buchanan Bus Station, Glasgow will take you directly to Ayr Bus Station, five minutes’ walk from the shorefront and Low Green. 

There are regular bus services to Ayr town centre from Prestwick, Monkton, Troon, Irvine, Ardrossan, Largs, Annbank, Mossblown, Coylton, Cumnock, Kilmarnock, Dalmellington, Patna, Bellsbank, Maybole, Girvan and Stranraer.

Free travel for young and young at heart

Take advantage of your free bus pass and hop aboard the bus to visit the Ayr Show. Simply show the driver your Under 22s' National Entitlement Card or Over 60s' National Entitlement Card.

Events are on Friday and Saturday, there's lots for you and the family to see and do!
