Cheltenham Festival: 10th - 13th March 2026

Get to Cheltenham Festival by bus; Shuttle buses  run from Cheltenham Railway Station and the Town Centre, and we'll take you home again. 

 

From the Railway Station

You can board from the station car park.    

You’ll need to buy via our ticket sellers on the day using either contactless or cash or via the Stagecoach bus app.

 

From the Town Centre

You can board from Clarence Street (Stop 8 - Outside WHSmith on the High Street)

You’ll need to buy via our ticket sellers on the day using either contactless or via the Stagecoach bus app.

From Arle Court Transport Hub

You can board from Arle Court Transport Hub for service R1 (Stand 1) Please see the timetable here.

Getting home again

While you’re having a great time watching the races and entertainment on offer, we’ll be gathering buses and drivers to get ready to take you home again. Our buses will pick you up from the car park at the racecourse.

Tickets

Shuttle buses

You can buy a ticket from one of our friendly ticket sellers before you get on the bus, using either contactless or cash or via the Stagecoach bus app.

Return: £10

Single: £6.50 (PM use only)

You'll need to keep hold of your shuttle bus ticket.

Cheltenham can be very busy around the races so if you’ve got a specific train to catch, make sure you leave plenty of time.  

Every bus will go to both places so you don't need to worry about getting the right bus.

 

Park & Ride buses

You can buy a ticket from the Jockey Club website.

Return: £15 per car

Or you can buy a ticket from one of our friendly ticket sellers before you get on the bus, using either contactless or cash.

 

You'll need to keep hold of your bus ticket.

Q. How do I buy a ticket for the Cheltenham Festival and how much is it?

Tickets can be purchased via one of our ticket sellers on the day using either contactless or cash. Return tickets are £10 and Singles (PM use only) are £6.50.

 

Q. Where can I catch the Cheltenham Festival shuttle bus?

If you're arriving at Cheltenham Railway Station, our shuttle bus will arrive at the station car park.

If you're already in Cheltenham then we'll pick you up from Clarence Street (stop 8).

Returning from Cheltenham Racecourse, buses will be waiting in the racecourse car park.

 

Q. Can I use a DayRider, West Gold or MegaRider ticket?

On Cheltenham Races specific shuttle buses, you will be unable to use these ticket types. However, on our regular services such as the D you will be able to use these.

 

Q. Do I need to have cash to hand?

We accept contactless payments up to the value of £45 so you don't need to have cash ready.
