Catching the bus in Swindon?

Get around Swindon with a Swindon TravelPass.

Get yours on board, online or now on mobile! A quicker and easier way to pay and use your bus ticket around Swindon.

What’s a Swindon TravelPass?

With a TravelPass you can travel on Stagecoach, Swindon Bus Company  and Pulhams services; just hop on the bus that turns up first, regardless of the operator.

Passes are loaded onto a travelcard. When you board the bus just place the card on the ticket machine’s reader. The ticket machine will read the card and check that it is valid for travel.

Mobile tickets

Adult and Young Person 7 day, 28 day and 13 week passes are available to buy on your mobile!

Instead of holding a smartcard up to the ticket machine reader, you’ll need to activate your ticket on your mobile and present the QR code to the reader.

One less card for your purse or wallet!

FAQS

How do I buy a travel pass?

Depending on the type of pass, passes can be bought from the driver, online or via our app.

If purchasing from the driver for the first time, you’ll be handed your pass on a smartcard. Any purchases after this point can be loaded onto the same card.

If purchasing online, again you’ll be delivered your pass on a smartcard. Find out more on smartcards Here.

Adult and Young Person 7 day, 28 day and 13 weeks are available to buy as a mobile ticket. Download the stagecoach bus app to purchase.

How do I use a mobile ticket?

Instead of holding a smartcard up to the ticket machine reader, you’ll need to activate your ticket on your mobile.

Once you've activated your ticket, it'll be stored on the 'Active tickets' page. It’ll show a QR code above the ticket name.

Look out for a QR code reader next to the driver, it has a blue line around the reader.

Simply hold your phone steady in front of the reader, it'll light up green and beep to show you're good to go.

Why has my mobile ticket not worked?

Your mobile ticket may not work for the following reasons:

• Incorrect ticket zone or time

• Time on device is incorrect – If the time on your mobile device is different to the ticket machine, the QR code will not be accepted. In this instance, our drivers may ask you to update the time on your device to the correct time.
