Fare Update
From Sunday, 22nd February 2026, the Short Hop Return fare for the Cambridge Park & Ride will change to £3.80, and the Adult Return fare will change to £4.50.
This continues to include up to 18 hours of free parking at any of the five Cambridge Park & Ride sites.
Why is the fare changing?
Like many transport services across the country, we're seeing higher operating costs. This increase helps us continue running frequent services and maintaining the quality you expect when travelling into Cambridge.
Young people travelling on Park & Ride services
Each adult paying £4.50 can take up to four children with them for £1 each (for each child aged 5-15), or for free where the child is under 5.
Unaccompanied children can only travel for a £1 when they have a CPCA Tiger pass with them. If they do not, then they need to buy either a £4.50 Adult Return or a £4.60 Youth DayRider.
Children accompanying a concession card holder, who are aged 5 years + need to buy either a £4.50 Adult Return or a £4.60 Youth DayRider.
We’re also updating the validity.
Tickets will now be valid for travel to and from the Park & Ride site from which you purchased only, and not for travel between different sites. If you want the flexibility to travel all day between different locations, the £6.50 DayRider is for you!
Park & Ride returns are valid on Service 2 buses between St. Andrew's Street and Milton Park & Ride so you can access a late night park & ride up to 23:00.
Please be aware that tickets are not valid on Busway services.
Concessionary Pass Holders
There is no change to travel for concessionary pass holders on Park & Ride buses. Pass holders continue to travel for free, but any young people travelling with them need to buy either a £4.50 Adult Return or a Youth DayRider ticket.
