Tavistock is an ancient stannary town, home of the cream tea, and is the only town in Devon to hold world heritage status. The town features a range of unique local independent shops,famous pannier market and an award-winning farmers’ market. National Cycle Route 27, Drakes Trail and the West Devon Way to Plymouth are all easily accessible from the town centre. There are guided walks from and around the town, wild swimming in the rivers, a golf course, museum, gym, swimming pool and arts centre.

The Box is Plymouth's major museum, art gallery and archive. Nine galleries showcase the city’s must see collections and include amazing ships’ figureheads, natural history specimens, a full-size woolly mammoth replica, film and photography, documents, maps and plans. PL4 8AX
The Mayflower Steps are close to the Barbican where the Pilgrims are believed to have left England aboard the Mayflower carrying 102 passengers, crossing the Atlantic Ocean to settle in North America on 6 September 1620. PL1 2LR

Tinside Lido is set in a stunning location overlooking the sea at the tip of Plymouth Hoe. The pool has been voted one of the top 10 best outdoor pools in Europe, built in 1935, the Lido is a fantastic example of art-deco style and is Grade II listed. PL1 2AA
Smeaton's Tower is the centerpiece on Plymouth's Hoe, and one of the South West's most well-known landmarks. Standing at 72 foot high, the tower has been has been beautifully restored and offers amazing views of Plymouth Sound and the city from the lantern room. PL1 2NZ
Plymouth Gin Distillery has been in operation since 1793 making it the oldest working gin distillery in England. The building dates back to the 1400’s, the Refectory, a medieval hall features a hull-shaped timber roof, dating back to 1431. PL1 2LQ
Central Park is the largest park in Plymouth, created in 1928 for improving the health of city residents. Stunning open meadows and woodlands offer fantastic views over the city towards Plymouth Sound and Cornwall. The Meadow Cafe has a wildflower roof and offers a delicious healthy menu, open 8am to 6pm, seven days a week. The Park Play Space features trampolines, hammocks and a double zip wire. PL3 4QL
The Plymouth Life Centre situated in Central Park includes a family leisure pool, a climbing wall, an eight-lane indoor bowls centre, fitness suite, a 10 lane 50-metre Olympic standard swimming pool, an Olympic standard diving pool, along with dryside training facilities, a sauna, a steam room, and a multipurpose area for dance and martial arts.[1] It is currently the only 12 court multipurpose sports hall in Devon. Derriford Hospital is a major trauma centre and large teaching hospital situated on Derriford Rd. Over 100 journeys operate Monday to Friday, with routes 1 and 101 stopping right outside the hospital every day. PL6 8DH
Plymouth Snowsports Centre offers skiers and snowboarders of all levels three slopes to choose from including the longest artificial slope in the South West. There’s also a 650 metre toboggan run and Sno-tube rides. PL6 8LW
