Route 5 runs between Exeter and Crediton up to every 20 minutes, 6 days a week and hourly on a Sunday.


We’ll get you to the office, or place of work in the week and loads of attractions across the South West on the weekends

Route 5 is your frequent and convenient connection between Exeter and Crediton, whether you are commuting to work in Exeter or heading for a day out of exploring. As you head out of the city you’ll cruise through some of the most stunning scenery Devon has to offer, and from the top deck, you’ll be able to see across miles of rolling green hills.

All our 5 services are able to take contactless payments either by credit/debit card or Apple/Google Pay. Don’t worry though, we still accept cash and all our drivers give change.

Exeter is a historic city in the heart of Devon, which boasts a beautiful Norman cathedral, vibrant shopping centre and a renowned University. A trip to this cultural haven will take you from the depths of the 14th century  underground passages to the heights of award winning shopping centres and eateries across  The High Street, Princesshay and The GuildhallThe city’s free Royal Albert Memorial Museum features a range of stunning exhibitions and  the historic quayside hosts watersports, antiques and a variety of cafes and restaurants for a leisurely lunch. Crediton  is a lively market town with a stunning  church, numerous local independent retailers and a thriving farmers' market. The town has a rich spiritual heritage, with St. Boniface being born in Crediton in 680 AD, the town features a large wooden sculpture and a commemorative window in the Parish Church in honour of the famous saint. EX17 3LH

Just outside of Exeter, at Newton St Cyres, The Beer Engine , a cosy gastropub and brewery, is great for an evening meal or weekend lunch. The pub features a covered balcony, tiered garden and a menu of global comfort food. Or why not try The Beer Factory Kitchen situated in a cosy setting, overlooking the working brewery, the street food style menu champions local produce including Hanlons award-winning ales.

Bideford is home  to the best in pubs, music and restaurants. This historic harbour town is packed with independent shops, local produce and the picturesque quay. The town features a historic Pannier Market as well as being the home to the Atlantic Village outlet, where you can find your favourite brands at bargain prices. You can easily access the start of the Tarka Trail for a walk or cycle, or for family friendly fun head to Victoria Park which boasts a wonderful children’s play area and free splash pool. Bideford is close to The Milky Way Amusement park with roller coasters, indoor adventure play area, wildlife displays and live shows and The BIG Sheep, an animal-themed family amusement park with sheep racing, lamb feeding, climbing wall and gentle rides. On the east bank of the Torridge estuary and is Bideford’s eastern half, East the water. EX392HE

Barnstaple is the largest town in North Devon, situated on the River Taw the ancient town has something for everyone. Why not take in a show at the Queen’s Theatre, or browse the mix of big brand shops and traditional family businesses along the High Street? The historic Pannier Market hosts regular markets to plus delicious local produce and incredible street food. Just next to the library in the town centre, you’ll find the remains of Barnstaple Castle, this former Motte and Baily Castle was a main feature of the town during Norman times. You can also find the remains of the Barnstaple Elephant which is housed in one of the town’s museum. The elephant was discovered in the town and has been dated back to a species that died out over 115,000 years ago! EX328BB

Great Torrington is a friendly town built on the site of an ancient cliff top settlement cliff with the River Torridge below, the town enjoys amazing views across rolling hills and green countryside. Great Torrington boosts a range of independent shops, cafes and regular local markets. EX38 8BJ

RHS Rosemoor Gardens is just outside of Great Torrington It’s surrounded by over 100 acres of woodland with the River Torridge running along the western border. The attraction include a rose garden with about 2,000 rose plants; an arboretum; herb, fruit and vegetable gardens; and an alpine house. EX388PH

Okehampton is a traditional market town near Dartmoor, making it a great place for outdoor enthusiasts. The town also features a Victorian shopping arcade,  museum, a beautiful park for picnics and the second oldest Norman Castle in the county. Dartmoor's two highest peaks are situated at the north of the town whilst to the south Lyford’s  gorge can be found with its Whitelady waterfall. EX201JZ
