Exeter is a historic city in the heart of Devon, which boasts a beautiful Norman cathedral, vibrant shopping centre and a renowned University. Bideford is home to the best in pubs, music and restaurants. This historic harbour town is packed with independent shops, local produce and the picturesque quay. The town features a historic Pannier Market as well as being the home to the Atlantic Village outlet, where you can find your favourite brands at bargain prices. You can easily access the start of the Tarka Trail for a walk or cycle, or for family friendly fun head to Victoria Park which boasts a wonderful children’s play area and free splash pool. Bideford is close to The Milky Way Amusement park with roller coasters, indoor adventure play area, wildlife displays and live shows and The BIG Sheep, an animal-themed family amusement park with sheep racing, lamb feeding, climbing wall and gentle rides. Barnstaple is the largest town in North Devon, situated on the River Taw the ancient town has something for everyone. Why not take in a show at the Queen’s Theatre, or browse the mix of big brand shops and traditional family businesses along the High Street? The historic Pannier Market hosts regular markets to plus delicious local produce and incredible street food. Just next to the library in the town centre, you’ll find the remains of Barnstaple Castle, this former Motte and Baily Castle was a main feature of the town during Norman times. You can also find the remains of the Barnstaple Elephant which is housed in one of the town’s museum. Great Torrington is a friendly town built on the site of an ancient cliff top settlement cliff with the River Torridge below, the town enjoys amazing views across rolling hills and green countryside. Great Torrington boosts a range of independent shops, cafes and regular local markets. EX38 8BJ
RHS Rosemoor Gardens is just outside of Great Torrington It’s surrounded by over 100 acres of woodland with the River Torridge running along the western border. The attraction include a rose garden with about 2,000 rose plants; an arboretum; herb, fruit and vegetable gardens; and an alpine house. EX388PH
Okehampton is a traditional market town near Dartmoor, making it a great place for outdoor enthusiasts. The town also features a Victorian shopping arcade, museum, a beautiful park for picnics and the second oldest Norman Castle in the county. Dartmoor's two highest peaks are situated at the north of the town whilst to the south Lyford’s gorge can be found with its Whitelady waterfall. EX201JZ
