Travel you can trust with Stagecoach

We're dedicated to providing safe, punctual and reliable services to our local communities while offering great value.

Our teams work incredibly hard to keep people moving and we have listened to feedback from our customers as well as worked with local authority partners to improve the reliability of our services. In the last 6 months, over 99% of our journeys ran as planned!*

What does reliability mean?

There are two elements to our service performance - reliability and punctuality

  • Reliability – this is a percentage measure of how many advertised journeys we operated.
  • Punctuality – this is a percentage measure of how many times the bus departed a timing point bus stop within five minutes of the advertised time.

Key statistics of the benefits of bus travel:

  • Bus commuters contribute £64 billion to the economy annually
  • A single double-decker bus can remove up to 75 cars from the road (https://www.cpt-uk.org/media/p20h0lxf/movingforwardtogether-3.pdf)
  • Buses are essential for local communities, helping to connect millions of people, reduce loneliness, cut traffic and lower air pollution
  • Buses remain the UK’s most popular form of public transport.
